Chelsea Winter Village & Illuminations runs from Wednesday 25 November to Monday 28 December 2026.
Gates open daily from 16:30 to 20:00 / 20:30, the trail closes at 22:00 & the Winter Village closes at 23:00.
Tickets must be purchased online in advance from the Tickets page on our website. Some walk-up availability may exist, but this cannot be guaranteed.

Yes. Discounts apply for groups of 10 or more. Please fill in

Yes, you can book with confidence. If your plans change, you can move your booking to any other available date or time, free of charge, up to 2 weeks before your visit. Changes requested within 2 weeks of your visit will incur a small fee. Tickets are non-refundable and all changes are subject to availability. You may only be able to exchange to a slot of equal or higher value. To make a change, please use our
slot changing system.Yes. Registered assistance dogs are welcome.
The trail continues in rain or snow. Refunds or alternative dates are only issued if organisers cancel the event due to exceptional circumstances.
Yes. The trail operates in rain, wind, or snow. The only exception is in extreme weather that affects safety. Please dress for the weather.
Wear warm, waterproof layers and sturdy, closed shoes. The trail is entirely outdoors and parts may be muddy in wet conditions.
Yes. All paths are well lit. A small number of installations may use strobe-like lighting or sound effects, and staff will be on hand throughout.
Yes. Security checks are in place for everyone's safety. Please avoid bringing large bags.
Entrance is via the London Gate, Royal Hospital Chelsea, Royal Hospital Road, London, SW3 4SR. This provides direct access to the Ranelagh Gardens and is the only public entrance and exit point.
Tube: Sloane Square (9 minutes' walk), Battersea Power Station (18 minutes' walk / 7 mins bus ride)
Bus: 170, 11, 137, 360
Train: Victoria Station (20 minutes' walk or short bus)
Uber Boat (Cadogan Pier Stop): (12 minutes' walk)
No public parking is available on-site. We recommend travelling via public transport.
No. Once you've entered and exited the trail, re-entry is not permitted.
Yes. The entire route is step-free and features a mix of gravel, hardstanding, and temporary walkway matting. Some surfaces may be uneven in wet conditions.
Yes. Accessible and gender-neutral toilets, plus baby change stations, are located throughout the route.
Yes. Carers enter for free when attending with a paying disabled guest. A ticket and supporting documentation are required in advance.
Neuro-inclusive slots are available between 16:30 and 17:45 on the following dates:

Yes. Several seating zones are available for guests who need to rest along the trail.
Yes. Covered rest points and heated social areas are available along the trail and in the Winter Village.
